Dinner in the Library

Dinner in the Library 2017

The 14th annual Dinner in the Library was a fabulous success! We are truly grateful to all who attended and especially our generous Sponsors and Honorary Committee including our passionate Chair Jeanne Jones whose enthusiasm for the event is boundless. This year’s theme, “Going to the Top,” highlighted our plans to renovate the 8th floor of Geisel Library and ensure this iconic and essential campus facility continues to serve as a hub of discovery and learning for our world-class students and scholars.

This year’s event was especially exciting with a sellout crowd and great energy in the room, due in no small part to our featured speaker, award-winning author and literary champion, Ann Patchett who was the star of the evening!  Ann's inspiring talk may be viewed on the Library's UCTV channel starting on October 2nd.

Proceeds from this year’s event support the Geisel Library Revitalization Initiative (GLRI) and will be matched by Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla’s generous $1 million challenge grant therefore doubling the impact of support. Our goal is to make Geisel Library as inspiring on the inside as it is on the outside and one of our top priorities is to raise funds to renovate the 8th floor in time for Dinner in the Library 2018!

Our sincere thanks to all who participated in this year’s Dinner in the Library. Below are photos from the event and more are available on the Library’s Facebook page.
